Ukraine's military: about 1,500 Russian occupiers eliminated over past day
Ukraine's General Staff reports that Russian forces lost 1,500 troops killed or wounded in the past 24 hours, bringing total Russian personnel losses since the invasion began to roughly 1,505,380. Losses in equipment and weaponry also rose.
Ukraine's Armed Forces General Staff reports that over the past 24 hours, Ukrainian defense forces killed or wounded 1,500 Russian occupying troops. Since the start of the full-scale invasion on February 24, 2022, through September 12 of this year, Russia's total personnel losses are estimated at approximately 1,505,380 soldiers.
Equipment losses
According to the General Staff's figures, losses in destroyed or damaged military equipment also increased. One tank was lost over the past day, bringing the total to 12,342 units. Losses of armored combat vehicles rose by 10 to 25,322 units, while artillery systems increased by 85 to reach 49,601 units.
Losses of multiple rocket launcher systems rose by 6 to 2,115 units, and air defense systems increased by 11 to a total of 1,633 units. Aircraft losses included one additional plane confirmed for a previous period, bringing the total to 442 aircraft.
Drones and other military hardware
The largest increase was recorded in operational-tactical level unmanned aerial vehicles, up by 2,045 units to a total of 512,175. Losses of ground robotic systems rose by 13 to 2,586 units.
Losses of vehicles and fuel tankers increased by 638 to 147,849 units, while losses of special equipment rose by 10 to 4,676 units.
