The Ukrainian Armed Forces carried out strikes on Russian naval assets in the Sea of Azov, hitting 21 tankers used for transporting oil and oil products. According to the General Staff, these vessels violate international sanctions and provide funding for Russia's aggression against Ukraine.

In addition to the tankers, the attacks damaged four tugs, two bulk carriers, and one dredger. All of them are used for military logistics, cargo transportation, and port infrastructure support.

The extent of the damage from the attacks is still unknown. OSINT analysts previously reported that strikes on Russian oil infrastructure during the night of Friday hit "shadow fleet" ships, ports, and refineries.

Later, media reported that following the Ukrainian attack on 13 Russian ships, Russia suspended navigation in the Don-Azov Canal, which connects the Don River to the Sea of Azov. This move indicates significant disruptions to Russian logistics in the region.
