4 Killed in Ukrainian Drone Attacks Across Russia
Ukrainian drone strikes on Russian territory early Monday killed four people, three in the Moscow region and one in the Belgorod region, with additional injuries and flight disruptions.

A Ukrainian drone attack early Monday killed at least three people and wounded five others in the Moscow region, local authorities said. The attack occurred in the village of Pionersky, less than 40 kilometers west of Moscow. Moscow region Governor Andrei Vorobyov reported that several homes caught fire. A video shared on social media showed firefighters responding to the scene, with multiple homes heavily damaged and burning. Over a dozen other towns and villages around Moscow were targeted overnight. Vorobyov added that Russian air defense downed 81 drones in the region.
Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said 350 Ukrainian drones were tracked in the skies over the broader Moscow region since Sunday night, noting that most were intercepted. He reported no damage or injuries. All four major Moscow airports introduced varying flight restrictions during the overnight attack but later restored regular operations.
In a separate incident, a woman was killed in a drone attack in the southwestern Belgorod region. In the southern Stavropol region, Governor Vladimir Vladimirov said a drone strike sparked a fire at an industrial zone in a village housing a Rosneft oil depot. Russia's Defense Ministry reported intercepting 342 Ukrainian drones across Russia and annexed Crimea overnight and Monday morning.
