Long-Range Strike Command established within Ukrainian Armed Forces
President Zelenskyy signed a decree creating a Long-Range Strike Command in the Ukrainian Armed Forces, aimed at reducing Russia's warfighting potential.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed a decree on July 10 establishing a new command within the Armed Forces of Ukraine – the Long-Range Strike Command. In his address, the president described it as a command for global impact on Russia over this war.
According to the decree, the command must concentrate 100% of available resources to further reduce Russia's warfighting potential. A strong leader with the highest level of experience will be appointed to lead the command.
The decree states that the command is being established to enhance the effectiveness of long-range strikes, reduce the enemy's ability to wage war against Ukraine, and undermine its military potential. The president instructed the Minister of Defence and the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces to submit a candidate for the position of commander of the Long-Range Strike Command.
