Ukraine strikes Wildberries warehouses in Russia for fourth time in a week
Ukrainian drones hit Wildberries warehouses overnight on July 24, causing fires and halting operations at multiple logistics complexes, marking the fourth such attack in a week.
Ukrainian drones struck warehouses belonging to the online marketplace Wildberries for the fourth time in a week overnight on July 24, the company said, announcing a suspension of operations at its logistics complexes in Shushary near St. Petersburg and the Utkina Zavod industrial zone in the Leningrad region.
St. Petersburg Governor Alexander Beglov confirmed that Ukrainian drones hit civilian infrastructure on Moskovskoye Highway, where cleanup efforts are underway. He did not specify the facilities damaged, though the Wildberries warehouse in Shushary is located on that highway. No casualties were reported.
Leningrad Region Governor Alexander Drozdenko confirmed that a Ukrainian drone strike set fire to Wildberries warehouses in the village of Novosaratovka, where the Utkina Zavod industrial zone is located, injuring three people. Another drone strike caused a warehouse collapse at the Severnaya poultry farm in the settlement of Sinyavino, with no injuries.
The independent Telegram channel Astra reported, citing photos and videos from witnesses, that at least three buildings were burning in the Utkina Zavod zone: one belonging to Wildberries, another with unclear ownership, and a third housing a distribution center for the construction supply company Petrovich.
Wildberries also said its sorting center in Simferopol, occupied Crimea, was evacuated overnight. The Ukrainian monitoring channel Exilenova+ and local page ChP/Simferopol claimed a drone attack on the warehouse, though no official confirmation of a fire has been given.
Reports of a possible strike on a Wildberries warehouse in Tver remain unconfirmed, though Russia's Defense Ministry listed the Tver region among areas where Ukrainian drones were shot down overnight.
This marks the fourth time in a week that Ukraine has struck Wildberries warehouses. Previous strikes hit the company's logistics centers in the Moscow, Tambov, and Voronezh regions, as well as in Krasnodar and Stavropol Krais.
