Overnight Tuesday, Ukrainian drones carried out a massive strike on an oil facility in the Moscow region, sparking a fire at Russia's largest oil depot in the area. Moscow's mayor said at least 650 drones had flown toward the capital.

Overnight into Tuesday, Ukrainian drones struck a major oil facility in Russia's Moscow region, according to monitoring channels cited by Kyiv Independent.
According to the Telegram channel Exilenova Plus, the strike hit the Volodarskaya linear production and dispatch station, located near the village of Konstantinovo. Local residents reported that two storage tanks caught fire. The station is a branch of Transneft–Upper Volga and is directly connected to the largest airports of the Moscow aviation hub.
Largest attack in two years
Russian media reported that the overnight strike was the largest drone attack the region has experienced in the past two years. Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said at least 650 drones had been flying toward the capital during the attack.
Footage filmed by eyewitnesses in Konstantinovo, located roughly 40 kilometers from central Moscow, showed flames and billowing smoke rising from the oil facility.
Region's largest oil depot
The independent Russian channel Astra noted that the Volodarskaya complex is the largest oil depot in the entire Moscow region, producing three million tons of oil products annually. Pipelines connect the facility to the Moscow region's key airports.
