At least two oil depots and a port are on fire in Russia's Rostov Oblast following Ukrainian drone strikes. In Taganrog, the "Kurgannefteprodukt" port terminal is burning; it specializes in transshipping oil products from railway to sea vessels. In the city of Azov, two fires have been reported: one at the Azov oil depot and another possibly at the "DonTerminal" oil base.
Rostov Oblast Governor Yuri Slyusar said more than 30 drones were destroyed over Taganrog and Azov, while confirming hits on multiple facilities. According to him, two oil product storage sites caught fire in Azov due to drone attacks, and a fire is being extinguished in the Taganrog seaport.
Local residents also reported an attack on the Ilsky oil refinery in Krasnodar Krai. It is one of the largest refineries in Russia's Southern Federal District, with a design capacity of about 6.6 million tons of oil per year. The refinery produces gas gasoline, straight-run gasoline, fuel oil, and diesel fuel. The previous attack on this refinery occurred approximately a month ago.
No official information on casualties or the extent of damage has been released.
