Krasnodar Krai governor Veniamin Kondratyev reported that Ukrainian drones struck the region's Seversky district overnight on August 25.

According to Kondratyev, falling drone debris hit the Afipskaya railway station, killing two people and injuring two others. At least 10 private homes in the town of Afipsky sustained damage, and one caught fire.

Fire at the refinery

The governor also said a fire broke out at a local oil refinery. Ukrainian Telegram channels Supernova+ and Exilenova+ separately reported a blaze at the Afipsky oil refinery.

The Afipsky refinery has been targeted by Ukrainian drone strikes multiple times before, with the most recent prior attack occurring in mid-July 2026.
