According to Rosstat, Russian consumer gasoline prices rose 2.3% in the week of July 7–13, while diesel prices climbed 3.2%. The gasoline price growth accelerated from the previous week, when prices increased 2.1% between June 30 and July 6. Diesel price growth slowed slightly — the prior weekly increase was 3.4%.

Overall weekly inflation in Russia for July 7–13 was 0.17%. Rosstat recorded the biggest weekly gasoline price jump two weeks ago: between June 16 and 22, fuel prices rose 3%. Since the start of the year, according to the agency, gasoline prices have increased by 16.4%.

On July 10, Reuters calculated that Ukrainian drone strikes on oil refineries had cut gasoline output to 65% of average seasonal demand. This significant reduction has impacted the domestic market and contributed to the price increases.
