Ukraine's General Staff reports 27 Russian assaults in Pokrovsk direction

Ukraine's Armed Forces General Staff reported 208 combat clashes along the front since midnight, 27 of them in the Pokrovsk direction. Russia used aircraft, guided bombs, kamikaze drones and shelling.

Ukraine's Armed Forces General Staff, in its evening report issued at 22:00 local time, stated that 208 combat clashes have been recorded along the front line since the start of the day on September 16.

Weapons used by Russian forces

According to the report, Russian forces carried out 71 airstrikes, dropping 233 guided aerial bombs. In addition, Russia deployed 4,704 kamikaze drones and conducted 1,250 shelling attacks against populated areas and Ukrainian military positions.

Breakdown by direction

The General Staff also provided a detailed account of combat activity across various sections of the front. In the North Slobozhanske and Kursk directions, two Russian assault actions were recorded since the start of the day, while in the South Slobozhanske direction there were 12. The Kupiansk direction saw one such action, the Lyman direction six, the Sloviansk direction two, and the Kramatorsk direction two.

The most intense fighting took place in the Kostiantynivka direction, where 22 assault actions were recorded, and in the Pokrovsk direction, where the number reached 27 — the highest among all listed sections of the front. The Oleksandrivka direction saw two assault actions, and the Huliaipole direction three.

The General Staff emphasized that the Pokrovsk and Kostiantynivka areas remain among the most intense points of combat along the entire front line, with Russian forces continuing active assault operations against Ukrainian defensive positions.
