Ukraine's General Staff: 1,500 Russian occupiers killed or wounded in past day
Ukraine's Armed Forces General Staff reports 1,500 Russian occupying troops killed or wounded over the past 24 hours, pushing total personnel losses since the invasion began past 1.5 million.
Ukraine's Armed Forces General Staff has reported that its defense forces killed or wounded 1,500 Russian occupying troops over the past 24-hour period. Total Russian personnel losses since the start of the full-scale invasion on February 24, 2022, through September 12, 2026, have reached an estimated 1,505,380 soldiers.
Equipment losses
The General Staff also released updated figures on destroyed military equipment. Since the war began, Ukrainian forces have destroyed or damaged 12,342 tanks (up by one from the previous count), 25,322 armored combat vehicles (up 10), and 49,601 artillery systems (up 85 over the past day).
The report also cites 2,115 multiple rocket launcher systems destroyed, an increase of six, and 1,633 air defense systems, up 11 units. The total number of aircraft destroyed has reached 442, including one confirmed for a prior reporting period.
Drones and other equipment
A particularly sharp increase was recorded in operational-tactical level drones, which rose by 2,045 units to a cumulative total of 512,175 destroyed since the invasion began. Ground-based robotic systems destroyed rose by 13 to reach 2,586.
The General Staff also noted losses in vehicles, with 147,849 trucks and fuel tankers destroyed or damaged, along with 4,676 units of special equipment.
Ukraine's military leadership stressed that the published figures are approximate and continually being updated, based on assessments made by Ukrainian forces under combat conditions.
