Ukrainian naval drone strikes Russian supply vessel in Sochi

Ukraine's Navy has reported a successful strike on a Russian supply vessel docked in the port of Sochi on September 3, carried out using an uncrewed surface drone.

Following the strike, witnesses recorded a powerful explosion and smoke near the vessel. The incident has been confirmed both by an official Navy statement and by publicly circulated material.

The vessel's role in Russian infrastructure

According to the Ukrainian Navy, the targeted multipurpose supply ship was an important part of Russia's maritime and energy infrastructure. It served offshore oil and gas facilities, transported cargo and personnel, and carried out underwater technical work.

Ukrainian officials stated that the vessel's operations directly supported Russia's wartime economy, effectively helping to fund the ongoing aggression against Ukraine.

The Telegram channel "Crimean Wind," which first reported the strike, also published video footage clearly showing the moment the vessel was hit.
