According to Beskrestnov, the way out of this problem is a radar seeker head. Such a component would let an interceptor drone locate and track a target even when it cannot be seen optically, for instance through a camera. Using a radar signal instead of relying solely on visual sensors would allow interceptors to keep functioning effectively in poor weather, when optical guidance becomes unreliable.

The adviser noted that a radar seeker head of this kind is already available on the market: one American company is selling the component for $4,000 apiece. That suggests the fix is not merely theoretical but already exists as a commercially available product that could potentially be integrated into the interceptor drone systems Ukraine currently uses.
