Prime Minister Changes Post

Ukrainian Prime Minister Yuliia Svyrydenko will step down as head of government and take up the post of Ukraine's ambassador to the United States, reported Ukrainian MP Yaroslav Zheleznyak. According to him, Svyrydenko remains on the team but as an ambassador to the US.

Current Ambassador Steps Down

Current Ukrainian Ambassador to the US Olha Stefanishyna will leave the diplomatic service of her own volition. According to Interfax-Ukraine, citing a source, Stefanishyna requested to end her service due to personal circumstances as far back as last week. The president is satisfied with her work.

Candidates for Prime Minister

MP Zheleznyak also stated that the leading candidate for the post of prime minister is Serhii Koretskyi. Meanwhile, Ukrainian media report that possible candidates include Shmyhal, Fedorov, and Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov. President Zelenskyy has held personal meetings with each of them.

President's Decision

Earlier today, Zelenskyy met with Svyrydenko, after which he announced that she would leave the post of head of government and lead "a new significant direction in relations with a key partner."
