Ukraine's air defense shoots down 79 of 90 Russian drones launched overnight
Russia attacked Ukraine with 90 attack drones of various types starting the evening of June 18. Air defense neutralized 79, but nine hit targets and debris fell in several locations. The attack is ongoing.

From the evening of June 18, Russian forces launched 90 attack drones against Ukraine, including Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas, Banderol, and other types. Ukraine's Air Force reported that by the morning of June 19, air defense had destroyed or suppressed 79 of them.
Nine drones scored hits at eight different locations, while debris from downed drones fell at another eight sites. The drones were launched from the Russian cities of Bryansk, Oryol, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, and from Hvardiiske in temporarily occupied Crimea.
Aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, unmanned systems subunits, and mobile fire groups of Ukraine's Defense Forces took part in repelling the attack. As of morning, the attack continues, with Russian drones still present in Ukrainian airspace.
