The Office of the President of Ukraine has refused to comment on whether the decision by Polish President Karol Nawrocki to strip President Volodymyr Zelenskyy of the Order of the White Eagle will impact his travel plans to Poland for the Ukraine Recovery Conference (URC). When asked directly about how the office views Nawrocki's decision and whether it would alter Zelenskyy's participation in the conference, presidential adviser Dmytro Lytvyn simply stated, "No comment."

On June 19, Polish President Karol Nawrocki revoked the award after a Ukrainian military unit was named after the "heroes of the Ukrainian Insurgent Army (UPA)." In response, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha announced that he would return his own high state award from Poland.

The Ukraine Recovery Conference is scheduled for June 25-26 in Gdańsk, with President Zelenskyy originally expected to attend. Polish sources have reported that Zelenskyy will travel to Gdańsk despite the controversy over the UPA heroes naming. However, no official confirmation of his attendance has been issued.

It is also known that the foreign ministers of Ukraine and Poland will participate in a public discussion in Gdańsk.
