New MP joins Ukraine's "Servant of the People" faction
Dmytro Vydolob has been sworn in as a member of Ukraine's parliament and joined the "Servant of the People" faction, taking a mandate vacated by another elected deputy.
Ukraine's Verkhovna Rada has sworn in a new MP, Dmytro Vydolob, who has joined the parliamentary faction of the "Servant of the People" party. The news was reported by the Ukrinform news agency.
Before the swearing-in, Ukraine's Central Election Commission (CEC) recognized Vydolob as an elected member of parliament. He was elected in the snap parliamentary elections of July 21, 2019, running on the "Servant of the People" party list, where he was ranked 168th.
Vydolob's mandate came through a substitution process. On September 4, the CEC had initially recognized Andriy Misiats as the elected MP from "Servant of the People," but Misiats submitted a request to renounce his mandate. As a result, Vydolob, next in line on the party list, was recognized as elected instead.
According to information on the CEC's website, Vydolob studied at the Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design and lives in Kyiv.
Background
In early September, two other "Servant of the People" MPs, Andriy Zhupanyn and Ostap Shypailo, submitted requests to resign their parliamentary mandates. Separately, on September 15, Olena Slobodian was sworn in as a member of parliament from the "Servant of the People" party.
