Ukrainian SBU drone unit: Repeated strikes on Moscow refinery erode sense of security in the capital
A Ukrainian SBU drone unit has stated that repeated attacks on a key Moscow oil refinery are undermining the perception that Russia’s capital remains insulated from the war.

A drone unit of Ukraine’s Security Service (SBU) has reported that its repeated strikes on a major Moscow oil refinery are gradually dismantling the illusion that the Russian capital is still safe and shielded from the conflict.
Representatives of the unit emphasized that these attacks have significantly impacted the sense of security among Moscow residents, many of whom previously believed the capital was beyond direct military reach. The persistent drone raids on energy infrastructure demonstrate Ukraine’s capability to conduct strikes deep inside Russian territory.
While official Moscow tries to maintain a calm facade, according to the SBU, these events are increasing tension and a feeling of threat among the city’s population. This in turn undermines the Kremlin’s narrative that the war only affects Ukraine and that Russian territory remains inviolable.
