Ukraine's Special Operations Forces (SSO) announced that a strike conducted on Monday night destroyed a railway bridge over the North Crimean Canal in Crimea. The initial attack collapsed one span of the bridge and damaged the track.
On Monday, Russian repair equipment arrived at the site, but a second strike on Tuesday night destroyed the repair equipment and inflicted further damage on the bridge's remains. The SSO released a video showing the destruction.
The bridge is part of a railway line that is strategically vital for Russian occupation forces, serving as a transport corridor for heavy military equipment and fuel to supply Russian troops on the southern front.
Earlier, on the night of June 18, the Ukrainian army carried out a drone strike on the same bridge. The occupation authorities have not yet commented.
