Ukraine's forces neutralize nearly 1,450 occupiers and 74 artillery systems in a day
Ukraine's General Staff reports that over the past 24 hours, 1,450 Russian troops, 7 tanks and 74 artillery systems were destroyed or disabled. Russia's total losses since the start of the full-scale invasion in February 2022 have surpassed 1.48 million soldiers.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has released updated figures on Russian military losses during the war. According to the report, over the past 24 hours Ukrainian defense forces neutralized 1,450 enemy troops and destroyed or damaged 7 tanks and 74 artillery systems.
Total losses since 2022
The General Staff states that between February 24, 2022 and August 26 this year, Russia's total combat losses reached approximately 1,480,750 personnel — an increase of 1,450 compared to the previous day.
Since the start of the war, 12,300 tanks (up by 7), 25,230 armored combat vehicles (up by 10), and 48,641 artillery systems (up by 74) have been destroyed or damaged.
Other categories of losses
The report also cites the number of multiple launch rocket systems, which reached 2,062 units, four more than previously recorded. Air defense assets rose to 1,588 (up by one), while ground robotic systems reached 2,387 (up by nine).
The General Staff further notes that 139,754 vehicles and fuel tankers (up by 533) and 4,592 units of special equipment (up by 10) have been destroyed or damaged.
The figures are updated regularly and reflect Ukraine's own assessment of enemy losses since the beginning of the full-scale war.
