Ukraine hits oil refinery in Russia's Kstovo and railway bridge in Luhansk region – General Staff

Ukrainian forces struck the Lukoil oil refinery in Kstovo and a railway bridge in occupied Stanytsia Luhanska overnight on July 2, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

On the night of July 2, Ukrainian Defense Forces conducted strikes on the Lukoil-Nizhegorodnefteorgsintez oil refinery in the city of Kstovo, Nizhny Novgorod region, Russia, as well as a railway bridge in the occupied settlement of Stanytsia Luhanska, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported.

The General Staff stated that a hit on the refinery was confirmed, followed by a fire at the enterprise. According to preliminary information, the AVT-6 primary oil processing unit was damaged. The extent of the damage is being clarified.

The refinery, owned by Lukoil, is one of the largest oil refining facilities in Russia, with a design capacity of approximately 17 million tons of oil per year. It produces automotive gasoline, diesel and aviation fuel, lubricants, and other products that are used, among other things, to meet the needs of the aggressor state's armed forces.

Additionally, Ukrainian forces struck a drone storage site of the occupiers near occupied Kamianka in the Zaporizhzhia region, the railway bridge over the Siverskyi Donets River near Stanytsia Luhanska, which the Russians use for military logistics and the transfer of personnel, weapons, and material, as well as a command observation post of the invaders near Vilshana in the Kharkiv region.
