Ukrainian forces strike drone launch sites in occupied Donetsk and Crimea
Ukraine's Defense Forces carried out several strikes on Russian military targets in occupied territories and Russia on August 31 and the night into September 1, hitting drone storage and launch sites, a communications hub, a command post and a fuel depot.
Ukraine's General Staff has reported that the country's Defense Forces struck a series of Russian military targets on August 31 and overnight into September 1, both in temporarily occupied Ukrainian territories and inside Russia.
According to the General Staff, the strikes hit storage, preparation and launch sites for attack drones in Donetsk and in Hvardiiske in temporarily occupied Crimea.
In occupied Myrne in Crimea, a Russian communications hub was hit, while in Polohy in Zaporizhzhia region a command-and-observation post was struck. In Verkhniokamianka in Luhansk region, an area where enemy military equipment was concentrated was hit, and in Borysivka in Russia's Belgorod region, a fuel and lubricants depot was struck.
The General Staff said the extent of the damage inflicted is still being confirmed. Additional data analysis also confirmed that on August 30, a launch system and a drone storage site were hit in the Tsymbulova area of Russia's Oryol region.
Ukraine's military leadership emphasized that work against key enemy military targets continues.
These strikes followed earlier attacks overnight on August 30, when Ukrainian forces hit the Kirishi oil refinery in Russia's Leningrad region and the Yeysk airfield in Krasnodar Krai.
