Ukrainian forces strike Russian air defence system and drone warehouses

Ukraine's defence forces carried out strikes on Russian military targets in occupied territories on 14 August and overnight into 15 August, hitting an air defence system, warehouses and two command posts. The full extent of the damage is still being assessed.

Ukraine's General Staff has reported a series of successful strikes against Russian military infrastructure in temporarily occupied territories, carried out on 14 August and during the night of 14–15 August.

Targets hit

A Russian Strela-10 surface-to-air missile system was destroyed near Kreminna in Luhansk Oblast. In Donetsk Oblast, Ukrainian forces struck a Russian drone warehouse in Vuhledar, while a logistics warehouse was hit in Lysychansk, Luhansk Oblast.

The strikes also targeted two Russian command posts — one in Selydove, Donetsk Oblast, and another in Mykhailivka, Zaporizhzhia Oblast.

Assessment ongoing

According to the General Staff, information on the scale of the damage and the overall results of the strikes is still being gathered.
