Ukrainian forces damage Russian bomber in strike on occupied Crimea
Ukraine's military carried out strikes overnight on several Russian military targets, including Saku airfield in Crimea, where a bomber-type combat aircraft was damaged. The report came from Ukraine's General Staff.
Ukraine's armed forces conducted a series of strikes against Russian occupation forces' military infrastructure on Tuesday and overnight into Wednesday, according to Ukraine's General Staff.
Strike on Saku Airfield
One of the main targets was Saku airfield in occupied Crimea, where a Su-34 combat aircraft was hit. The exact extent of the damage is still being assessed.
Other Targets Hit
In the Donetsk region, a strike was carried out against a site used by Russian forces to store, prepare and launch drones. Strikes also targeted enemy drone control points in Staromaiorske and Pokrovsk in the occupied part of Donetsk region, as well as in Pokrovsk in Zaporizhzhia region.
A Russian ammunition depot was hit in Dovzhansk, Luhansk region. Ukrainian forces also struck occupier fuel depots in Rovenky, Luhansk region, and in Berdyansk, Zaporizhzhia region.
The strikes additionally hit two Russian reconnaissance equipment posts in occupied Crimea.
Ukraine's General Staff considers these strikes part of a broader campaign targeting the logistics and offensive capability of Russian forces in occupied territories and Russian-controlled Crimea.
