Ukraine's forces strike drone launch site and relay stations in occupied territories
Ukraine's defense forces struck several Russian military facilities on the night of September 12–13, including a strike-drone storage and launch site in Donetsk and relay stations in the Kherson region and occupied Crimea, the General Staff reported.
Ukraine's defense forces carried out strikes against a number of Russian military targets on September 12 and overnight into September 13, Ukraine's General Staff has reported.
Among the targets hit was a site in Donetsk used for storing, preparing and launching attack drones. Ukrainian forces also struck other significant military installations in occupied territories.
Relay stations and radar equipment
Ground-based relay stations were destroyed in the Zalizny Port and Skadovsk areas of the Kherson region, as well as in the Chornomorske and Olenivka areas of occupied Crimea. These stations were used to control "Geran"/"Gerbera"-type attack drones. In Olenivka, an antenna complex was also damaged.
In Russia's Bryansk region, near Riovni, Ukrainian forces destroyed a target-tracking radar station.
Context
These strikes follow earlier Ukrainian attacks on Russian oil refining infrastructure. Overnight into September 13, Ukrainian forces struck the Slavyansk refinery in Russia's Krasnodar region and the Taneko refinery in Tatarstan. The General Staff also confirmed damage to the Saratov refinery from a strike on September 11. Ukraine's military intelligence agency had earlier reported that a strike on the Slavyansk-EKO refinery damaged a key oil processing unit and the facility's tank farm.
