Ukraine Strikes Multiple Wildberries Warehouses: Casualties and Damage Reported
A series of Ukrainian strikes on Wildberries warehouses across Russia in July has resulted in at least nine deaths and dozens of injuries, with several facilities still closed.
In July, Ukrainian forces carried out a wave of attacks on warehouses of the Russian online retailer Wildberries, causing casualties and damage in multiple regions.
On July 18, in Elektrostal (Moscow region), one person was killed and 57 injured; the fire burned for four days and the warehouse is now closed. Wildberries said it is assessing the aftermath. The same day in Kotovsk (Tambov region), seven people died and 25 were injured; the fire was quickly extinguished, and the facility resumed limited operations on July 23.
On July 20, in Koledino (Moscow region), no workers were injured and operations continued normally.
On July 22, in Krasnodar, one employee died and nine were injured; a major fire broke out, and no reports indicate resumption of operations. The same day in Nevinnomyssk, five employees were injured, a fire led to a state of emergency, and the warehouse is now closed.
On July 23, in Voronezh, no injuries occurred and no major fire; the complex resumed operations half a day after the strike.
On July 24, in Simferopol (occupied Crimea), a fire broke out with no reported casualties. In Shushary (St. Petersburg), no injuries were reported but a major fire caused temporary suspension of operations. In Novosaratovka (Leningrad region), three employees were injured and a major fire broke out; it remains unclear if the facility will resume operations soon.
