Ukrainian Prime Minister Serhiy Korecky has briefed President Volodymyr Zelensky on plans to adapt the state's operations to Russia's evolving attack tactics. The changes concern how businesses and institutions function during different types of threats, as well as how logistics and transport, including the subway, are organized.

Following an expanded meeting attended by the commander-in-chief, the interior minister, State Emergency Service representatives, the mayor of Kyiv, and representatives of the Presidential Office and the National Security and Defense Council, specific proposals are being developed to adapt state operations to the new conditions.

Prolonged alerts affect multiple areas of life

Korecky said that lengthy air raid alerts affect not only public safety but also the work of businesses, logistics, transport, schools, kindergartens and other spheres of life. According to the prime minister, the enemy is trying to paralyze economic activity in the capital and major cities, which means the state's response approaches and algorithms must change as well.

He stressed that solutions are being sought to better protect people while preserving the ability to live and work in Ukrainian cities and communities.

Curfew rules under review

Korecky added that authorities separately plan to review approaches to curfew and to improve civilians' access to timely information about air threats, without creating additional security risks.

The prime minister said the necessary proposals are expected to be finalized early next week, after which they will be presented to the public and implementation will begin.
