Uldriķis's Heerenveen beat The Hague side to climb into European places in the Netherlands
Heerenveen, a club in the Dutch top football league, beat a side from The Hague with Latvian Roberts Uldriķis in the team and moved into the top seven, the European-competition zone. Other Latvian players also featured in foreign leagues.

In a match of the Eredivisie, the Netherlands' top football division, Heerenveen defeated the team from The Hague. Latvian forward Roberts Uldriķis played for Heerenveen, in his fifth game since returning to the Eredivisie. The win lifted the club in the table into the places that give a chance of playing in European club competitions.
Heerenveen hold on to the win
The match turned on two accurate shots, one from Heerenveen's Danish player Jakob Trenskov and one from The Hague side's forward Nigel Thomas, who has Curaçao roots. In the previous round The Hague side had beaten (2:1) PSV Eindhoven, the Dutch champions of the last three years. They put Heerenveen under pressure in the second half, but Heerenveen kept the three points. Uldriķis took one reasonably dangerous shot.
After ten matches Heerenveen have 15 points and sit seventh in the standings, which corresponds to a European-cup place.
