Latvia national football team striker Roberts Uldriķis is changing clubs and will continue his career in the Netherlands. The forward, who has been playing for German second-division club Arminia Bielefeld, is moving to Dutch Eredivisie side Heerenveen.

The news was first reported on Wednesday by the Dutch regional newspaper Leeuwarder Courant, which is published in the province of Friesland, home to the city of Heerenveen and its football club.

Heerenveen is one of the better-known clubs in the Dutch top division and has previously taken part in European cup competitions. With Uldriķis' arrival, the club gains a striker who already has international experience both at club level and with the Latvian national team.

Further details about the terms of the transfer and the length of the contract have not yet been made public.
