Germany rallied to defeat Ivory Coast 2-1 in a World Cup qualifier on Friday, thanks to a second-half brace from Deniz Undav. The 29-year-old striker now tops the scoring charts in the 2026 World Cup qualifying campaign with three goals and two assists in two matches.

Ivory Coast took the lead in the 30th minute when Franck Kessié buried a rebound after Amad Diallo's shot was blocked. Germany had earlier come close through Kai Havertz, whose header was saved by Yahia Fofana.

Undav equalized in the 68th minute, converting a pass from substitute Nadiem Amiri. Then, deep into stoppage time (90+4), Felix Nmecha found Undav in the box, and the striker slotted home to complete the comeback.

Lionel Messi and Jonathan David also have three goals each, but without assists, leaving Undav as the outright leader in the scoring standings.
