Hungary's parliament has voted to oust a president appointed by Viktor Orbán. The decision came through the 17th amendment to the country's constitution, which easily surpassed the two-thirds majority required for constitutional change. The name of the ousted president was not specified in the report.

The European Union has agreed to impose sanctions on Russia's Federal Security Service (FSB) for its involvement in long-running cyber espionage and sabotage campaigns. According to the EU, the FSB is responsible for these attacks.

A senior U.S. Democrat, former Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel, has voiced support for Donald Trump's call for Europe to increase defense spending. Emanuel stated that Europe is responsible for becoming dependent on the United States.

Spanish officials expressed confusion after Trump claimed that Madrid had honored his demands on military expenditure. Spain denied any such concession.
