Polish and Indian Folk Groups Arrive in Upīte for International Festival
Folklore groups from Poland and India have arrived this week in Upīte village in Balvu County to take part in the 5th International Folklore Festival 'Ļipa kust'.

This week, folklore groups from Poland and India arrived in Upīte, a village in Balvu County. They are participants in the 5th International Folklore Festival “Ļipa kust”.
The festival is being held in Balvu County and brings together ensembles from several countries. The Polish and Indian groups have come to Upīte to take part in the festival programme. This is the fifth time the festival is organised.
Upīte is located in Balvu County and this week welcomes guests from distant lands. Local residents and visitors will have the opportunity to learn about the folk traditions of these countries.
The 5th International Folklore Festival “Ļipa kust” gathers participants to preserve and promote folk art. This year, it also features artists from Poland and India.
