Two trucks collided on the A1 highway near Kuiviži, close to Salacgrīva, completely blocking traffic. Witnesses say no lives are in danger.
On Monday, September 8, around 1:00 p.m., two trucks collided on the A1 highway near Kuiviži, in the Salacgrīva area. As a result of the crash, traffic on this section of the road has come to a complete standstill.
A video from the scene, shared on social media by an account called "Sadursme" (Collision), shows a chaotic situation on the roadway.
According to witnesses at the scene, none of the people involved in the accident are in life-threatening danger.
Drivers planning to travel through this stretch of road are advised to expect traffic restrictions and, where possible, to choose an alternative route to avoid delays.
It is not yet known how long the road will remain closed or when traffic will resume normal flow.
