Number of railway suicides decreases in Latvia
Last year, five people committed suicide on Latvia's railways, three fewer than in 2024, according to the State Railway Technical Inspectorate.

According to data compiled by the State Railway Technical Inspectorate, the number of suicides on Latvia's railways decreased last year. In 2025, five such suicides were recorded, which is three fewer than in 2024.
Of the five individuals, three were aged between 25 and 49, one between 18 and 24, and one was 65 years or older. Among the victims were three men and two women.
