Four-car crash blocks traffic on Tīnūži highway

A four-car collision on the Tīnūži–Koknese road on Saturday has completely blocked traffic at the scene. Drivers are urged to use alternative routes.

A road traffic accident involving four vehicles occurred on Saturday on the P80 regional road connecting Tīnūži and Koknese, the State Police confirmed to the LETA news agency.

The crash took place near the 19th kilometer of the highway, and traffic at the site has been completely blocked as a result.

State road operator Latvijas Valsts ceļi urged drivers on social media to use alternative routes while the road remains closed at the accident scene.

Further details about the circumstances of the crash, any injuries, or when traffic will resume have not yet been disclosed.
