Uzhhorod Deputy Suspected of Failing to Declare 78 Million UAH in Assets
A Uzhhorod city council deputy, Arsen Melkumyan, is suspected of intentionally omitting assets worth approximately 78 million UAH, including a hotel-restaurant complex, from his 2024 declaration.

The deputy of the Uzhhorod City Council, who also owns the hotel-restaurant complex "Kilikia," has been notified of suspicion under part 2 of Article 366-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine for submitting deliberately false information in his asset declaration.
According to the Zakarpattia Regional Prosecutor's Office, the investigation found that the deputy intentionally failed to declare the use of a hotel-restaurant complex on the outskirts of Uzhhorod, which has been operating for about 20 years. The complex includes a hotel with an area of over 1,074 square meters, a bathhouse, a food block with a swimming pool, a cafe-bar, and other facilities. The total value of the undeclared real estate is nearly 50 million UAH.
Additionally, the deputy declared possessing cash assets exceeding 108 million UAH in hryvnia equivalent for himself and his wife. However, investigators argue that this amount does not correspond to their actual financial capacity. Based on official data, the couple's potential savings from 2010 to 2024 amount to just over 78.1 million UAH, while the objectively possible savings are more than 28.3 million UAH lower.
The prosecutor's office will request that the court impose a preventive measure of round-the-clock house arrest on the suspect.
