German authorities conducted searches at the apartment where Anastasiya Berezovska had been living and at a vehicle she used, according to a joint statement from the Frankfurt prosecutor's office and the Hessian state criminal police.

Berezovska, originally from the Luhansk region, has been living in Germany since March 2022 with temporary protection status. She initially stayed in a refugee reception center.

Interpol issued a wanted notice on July 3 identifying her as the key suspect in the June 29 explosion in Monaco that left Ukrainian businessman Vadym Yermolayev and his relatives seriously injured. Yermolayev, one of Ukraine's wealthiest businessmen, renounced his Ukrainian citizenship in 2019 in favor of a Cypriot passport.

After the incident, Berezovska was seen in Frankfurt. Media previously reported that she may have traveled to Germany via Italy in a rented car.

Unofficially, the Monaco investigation has considered the possible involvement of Ukraine's Security Service in the blast.

Yermolayev is a subject of the "Battalion Monaco" investigation into Ukrainian businessmen who settled on the French Riviera during the war.
