Germany explored as new avenue for Latvian exports

During a trade mission to Berlin organized by the Investment and Development Agency of Latvia (LIAA), a cooperation memorandum was signed with German partners. The agreement is set to give Latvian companies wider opportunities to use the contacts of German trade chambers when seeking sales markets abroad.

Access to a broader network

German trade chambers operate in many countries around the world, and their established contacts could make it easier for Latvian exporters to reach markets where Latvia itself may not have a representative office or direct connections. The memorandum was signed as part of a trade mission aimed at strengthening the presence of Latvian companies in international markets and supporting export growth.

LIAA's role in export promotion

LIAA regularly organizes trade missions to various countries to help Latvian businesses, particularly small and medium-sized enterprises, establish new business contacts and expand their export destinations. This kind of cooperation allows companies to gain access to information about foreign market specifics and potential partners without having to build such connections from scratch on their own.

The memorandum signed in Berlin adds to other tools already available to LIAA, which the agency uses to boost the international competitiveness of Latvian companies and support their export activities.
