German FM wants explanation from Sybiha on personnel changes in Ukrainian Armed Forces
German Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul has requested explanations from his Ukrainian counterpart Andriy Sybiha regarding President Zelenskyy's personnel decisions in the Armed Forces.

German Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul announced that he plans to hold talks with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha in the near future to discuss the overall security situation and the personnel decisions made by President Zelenskyy. "I would like to understand many of them," Wadephul said, emphasizing the need for further reforms in Ukraine to advance towards the European Union.
The German minister stressed that Germany remains one of Ukraine's biggest supporters politically, economically, and financially. Therefore, Germany is extremely interested in knowing in detail what is happening in Ukraine. "I am confident that these decisions are understandable and that the reform process in Ukraine will continue overall," Wadephul added.
On the evening of July 21, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, after six days of protests, announced the dismissal of Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi and the appointment of Mykhailo Drapatyi in his place. On July 22, Drapatyi stated that he had been tasked by Zelenskyy to continue and strengthen offensive actions and increase the capabilities of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The same day, decrees on the change of leadership were published on the president's website.
