German general warns Russia may extend nuclear threat to space and urges readiness for war

Top German military officials warn of rising Russian threats, including potential nuclear weapons in space, and call on NATO to prepare for a possible attack on a member state by 2029.

German military warns of Russian aggression

Major General Michael Traut has warned that Russia may extend its nuclear threats into space. In response, Berlin is developing new military space capabilities, including jammers, lasers, and a sovereign satellite communications network.

Meanwhile, German Army Chief Christian Freuding stated that NATO allies agree Russia could be capable of attacking a member state by 2029. He emphasized the need to be ready to fight.

Failure in fighter jet program as an opportunity

After the collapse of the joint German-French fighter jet project due to industrial infighting, Berlin is using its fiscal resources to claim leadership in aerospace. This situation has created new challenges for Europe's next-generation fighter jet program, which was killed by internal disputes.
