German band Dorfrocker plans concerts in all 294 districts of Germany in 2027
The German band Dorfrocker will attempt a Guinness World Record in 2027, its 20th anniversary year, by playing once in each of Germany's 294 districts. Farmers are among those invited to apply to host.
The German folk-rock band Dorfrocker, made up of brothers Tobias, Markus and Philipp Thomann, has announced an attempt at a world record for 2027. Over the course of one year, the musicians want to perform in all 294 districts of Germany, exactly once in each. The project is called "Mission 294" and is tied to the band's 20th anniversary.
A call to farmers
On Instagram, through the account dorfrocker_official, the band appealed to farmers to apply to host a show. The musicians would prefer to play on farms, in fields and among tractors. In their words, farmers work every day in all weather and keep everyone fed.
The band also recalled the Covid-19 pandemic, when it toured villages with tractor concerts and a tractor tour. The musicians describe those events as unforgettable, which is why they want to involve farmers in the record attempt. A farm, another agricultural business or several farmers together can apply.
Record conditions
According to the news agency dpa, the licensed Guinness World Records attempt is for the most concerts in different districts within a single year. The trade outlet Folx Music Television reports that the brothers want to show that country life is lively, relevant and culturally diverse.
Applications are not limited to farmers. Clubs, volunteer fire brigades, kindergartens, care homes, craft businesses and other companies can also apply. Details are available at mission294.de.
