The annual Open Farm Days in Estonia kick off this weekend, with over 300 farms and agricultural businesses across the country welcoming visitors. Saturday is the main day, but many farms will also be open on Sunday. Organizers note that the event draws more than 200,000 people each year, offering a chance to see farm operations, learn about local food production, and experience rural life.

Each participating farm has created its own program, which may include guided tours, product tastings, animal encounters, workshops, and family-friendly activities. Since programs vary widely, visitors are advised to check individual farm schedules in advance.

This year, special attention is given to animal safety. Anyone who has recently traveled abroad is asked to wait at least 48 hours before visiting a farm to reduce the risk of disease transmission. Visitors are also requested to arrive in clean clothing and footwear.

A complete list of participants, schedules, and additional information is available at avatudtalud.ee.
