Valeinis and Semenistaja Crowned Latvian Champions
Ēriks Valeinis and Marija Semenistaja won the Latvian singles titles. Valeinis dominated all ten sets, while Semenistaja secured a convincing victory.

In the men's final of the Latvian Tennis Championships, Ēriks Valeinis, son of Latvian Tennis Federation President Egils Valeinis, defeated Danils Folkheims 7:6(2), 7:5. At 16, he became the youngest singles champion in recent years, winning all ten sets across the tournament. Valeinis also claimed titles in men's doubles and mixed doubles.
In the women's final, Marija Semenistaja, twin sister of Latvia's second-ranked player Darja Semenistaja, beat Kamilla Černousova 6:3, 6:3. She won all ten sets, allowing her opponent only four games in one set. Four years ago, Darja became champion; Marija last played a WTA tour match in November 2024.
Meanwhile, 2024 Latvian champion Elza Tomase is competing in the W15 final in Serbia. The match was interrupted due to weather at 2:6, 5:2, 15-30, and resumed at 5:20 PM, with Tomase winning three consecutive points to break her opponent's serve.
