Valkovskis scores once, Krištopāns also finds the net in Bundesliga wins
Latvian handball players Ervins Valkovskis and Dainis Krištopāns contributed to their clubs' victories in the second round of Germany's handball Bundesliga. Both Lemgo and Melsungen now have one win apiece from two matches this season.

Both Latvian legionnaires playing in Germany's handball Bundesliga contributed to wins for their clubs in second-round matches.
Lemgo defeated Wetzlar at home 31:27 (16:9 at halftime). Ervins Valkovskis played seven minutes, converting one of two shots and committing two turnovers. Tim Suton was the home side's top scorer with eight goals.
Meanwhile, Melsungen secured a convincing 31:18 (14:10) home win over Goppingen. Dainis Krištopāns scored one goal in that match, contributing to the hosts' success.
Both Lemgo and Melsungen have now recorded one win each after two matches this season.
Last season, Lemgo finished fifth, while the Melsungen club placed seventh in the 18-team league.
