On 2 August, the first Baltic countries' actors' football tournament took place at the Valmiera Olympic Centre stadium. The event gathered actors from different Latvian theatres, providing an opportunity to meet, develop new collaborations and strengthen friendship with colleagues from Lithuanian and Estonian theatres.

The tournament was aimed not only at playing football but also at bringing the Baltic theatre communities closer together. On this occasion, the football pitch became a place where Latvian actors could informally meet artists from neighbouring countries and discuss possible cooperation. The event allowed for an exchange of professional experience and helped foster personal contacts among theatre professionals across the Baltic region.

This was the first event of its kind in the Baltics, and its location in Valmiera showed how cultural and sporting initiatives can be successfully combined. The participants included representatives from several Latvian theatre companies, and the goal of the event was to build bridges between the theatre scenes of Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia.

The stadium of the Valmiera Olympic Centre served as a suitable venue, welcoming theatre people from different countries. The actors' football tournament gave participants the chance not only to compete but also to strengthen mutual ties and friendship among theatre professionals in the Baltic states.
