This weekend, the "Skrotfrag Arena" in Molilla will host speedway races featuring two Latvian athletes.

On Saturday at 12:00, the world championship final in the SGP4 class (190cc) will begin, where Valters Bušs will make his debut. Bušs is one of Latvia's top young riders in the 125cc class, and this season he has been training in Daugavpils to prepare for this competition. He will start with number 14, and his opponents will be young riders from Germany, Sweden, Australia, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Denmark, USA, Great Britain, and Finland.

Andžejs Ļebedevs will compete in his 38th individual world championship (SGP) round. His sixth round of the season starts in the afternoon with practice and qualification, while the main event starts at 20:00. Due to injuries, Dan Bewley, Jack Holder, and Fredrik Lindgren will not participate; they will be replaced by Anders Thomsen, Jan Kvech, and Kai Huckenbeck. This year's Swedish champion Kim Nilsson will compete with a wild card.

After five rounds, Bartosz Zmarzlik leads the standings, followed by Brady Kurtz just three points behind. Andžejs Ļebedevs is in 11th place. This season he has reached the semi-finals twice, and in Molilla he has done so in the previous three seasons (9th, 7th, and 9th place).

On Friday, the first SGP2 (junior world championship) final took place in Molilla. No Latvian juniors qualified. The winner was Wiktor Przyjemski, second was Mikkel Andersen, third was Villads Nagel.
