Pole Vaulter Valters Kreišs Takes 8th Place in Germany
Latvian pole vaulter Valters Kreišs finished eighth at the World Athletics Continental Tour Challenger meeting in Aachen, Germany on Tuesday.

On Tuesday, February 11, the World Athletics Continental Tour Challenger pole vault competition took place in Aachen, Germany. Latvian athlete Valters Kreišs participated and secured an eighth-place finish.
Kreišs started the competition successfully, clearing 5.52 meters on his first attempt. He then needed three attempts to clear 5.62 meters, which he managed. However, he failed all three attempts at 5.72 meters, resulting in eighth place out of ten competitors.
In total, four athletes cleared the 5.72-meter height. Australia's Kurtis Marschall won the event, clearing the height on his first attempt. American Sam Kendricks took second place, also on his first try. Third place went to German Lita Kahnda, who cleared it on his second attempt, and fourth was American Casey Lightfoot, who succeeded on his third attempt.
