A new forecast for 2027 is being attributed to Vanga, the Bulgarian clairvoyant: a group of people with unusual abilities could appear in the world. The claim was reported by the media outlet Wionews. It is only attributed to her, and its authenticity has not been confirmed.

What the forecast says

According to Wionews, the emergence of such people could be triggered by a mysterious illness or a genetic experiment. As a result, a certain group would gain traits they did not have before. No further details of the forecast are available.

Vanga is also credited with predictions for 2026, including the outbreak of a new world war and major natural disasters such as floods and earthquakes. She is also said to have foreseen the rapid growth of artificial intelligence and possible contact between humanity and extraterrestrials.

Lack of verifiable sources

During her lifetime, Vanga did not leave behind an extensive, verifiable written archive of predictions. Many claims attributed to her today therefore rest on later publications, folklore or other people's interpretations.

After her death, she was also credited with foretelling the September 11 terrorist attacks, the Chernobyl disaster, the death of Princess Diana, the 2004 tsunami and Brexit, the United Kingdom's departure from the European Union. Even in these cases, it is often impossible to find an original source in which Vanga said such words before the event, The Guardian notes. Many predictions credited to her are not documented.

Researchers and people who have studied her legacy warn that new predictions keep being attached to her name online, including ones about wars, economic crises and other disasters.
