A summer without concerts: Music house «Daile» owner Anda Zadovska tends her garden in Lapmežciems
Anda Zadovska, owner of the music house «Daile», spends summer resting from concert life by tending a garden by the sea in Lapmežciems, growing flowers and ripening chili in her greenhouse for marmalade.

During the summer months, Anda Zadovska, owner of the music house «Daile», steps away from the bustle of concert life to focus on her great passion — a garden in Lapmežciems, located right by the sea.
A home by the sea
Zadovska's property sits so close to the shore that during major storms, seawater can reach all the way to the gate of her yard. This closeness to the sea has become part of everyday life, one the owner has learned to accept and appreciate.
An old fishermen's homestead
In maintaining her property, Zadovska strives to preserve the atmosphere of an old fishermen's homestead characteristic of the area, avoiding excessive modernization that would disrupt its historic feel. In the garden, she grows colorful flowers that attract butterflies and bring life to the grounds.
Greenhouse chilies and marmalade
A special spot on the property is the greenhouse, where Zadovska grows chili peppers. These are used to make marmalade, following a recipe that originates from the mother of Andris Keišs.
This summer rhythm allows the music house owner to recharge after the concert season while staying connected to the history and nature of the place.
