“Summer Horizon”: Old Town sinking, new trolleybuses, and Rose Days
The upcoming episode of “Summer Horizon” on ETV+ will cover Tallinn’s Old Town subsidence, new battery-powered trolleybuses, a concrete yacht, and the Rose Days at the Botanical Garden.

On Wednesday, July 15, a new episode of the program “Summer Horizon” will air on ETV+, offering a look at current events in Estonia and the world through people and stories, both lighthearted and serious.
Old Town subsidence
One topic is the gradual sinking of Tallinn’s Old Town. Vice Mayor Tiit Terik will discuss why this is happening, how serious the problem is, and whether historic buildings can be preserved.
New trolleybuses
New battery-powered trolleybuses have already hit the streets of Tallinn. Driver Sergei Grishchenko will explain how driving modern transport has changed and how it differs from conventional trolleybuses.
Concrete yacht
What material makes a yacht float? The creators of the yacht “Alison” found an unusual answer: its hull is made entirely of concrete. Correspondent Julia Rostok visited the Sea Days event to see it.
Rose Days
Tallinn Botanical Garden is hosting Rose Days, featuring over 700 rose varieties. Biologist Jaan Metik will share which rare species are on display and which roses suit Estonia’s climate best.
The host is Ulyana Kuzmina. “Summer Horizon” airs weekdays at 8:20 PM on ETV+.
